Delayed loading
In a recently completed audit over 420 implants placed, at this practice, over the last 4 years we have achieved a 96.6% survival rate. All of these implants are Nobel Biocare implants placed in a single surgery protocol and restored after 8 weeks.

<p class="MsoNormal"><font face="Times New Roman" size="3"><span style="font-size: 12pt"><strong>Immediate loading</strong></span></font></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><font face="Times New Roman" size="3"><span style="font-size: 12pt">13 full arches have been restored with 6 implants in the maxilla and 4 implants in the mandible and a survival rate of <strong>96.2%</strong> has been achieved. The time span is 1 -20 months</span></font></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><font face="Times New Roman" size="3"><span style="font-size: 12pt">All these cases were carried using the Nobel Biocare ‘Teeth-in-an-Hour’ technique which uses CT scan data to produce a surgical stent. The implants are then placed without raising a flap and the bridge which has been previously constructed is attached immediately.</span></font></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><font face="Times New Roman" size="3"><span style="font-size: 12pt" /></font></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><font face="Times New Roman" size="3"><span style="font-size: 12pt">These early results would suggest that immediate loading of 4-6 implants which are splinted together by an immediately placed bridge gives similar results to an 8 week delayed loading protocol.</span></font></p>
