Implant success rates
Delayed loading
In a recently completed audit 420 implants were placed over the last 4 years. We have achieved a 96.6% survival rate. All of these implants are Nobel Biocare implants placed in a single surgery protocol and restored after 8 weeks.
Immediate loading
13 full arches have been restored with 6 implants in the maxilla and 4 implants in the mandible and a survival rate of 96.2% has been achieved. The time span is 1 -20 months
All these cases were carried using the Nobel Biocare ‘Teeth-in-an-Hour’ technique which uses CT scan data to produce a surgical stent. The implants are then placed without raising a flap and the bridge which has been previously constructed is attached immediately.
These early results would suggest that immediate loading of 4-6 implants which are splinted together by an immediately placed bridge gives similar results to an 8 week delayed loading protocol.
